LTC is designed to help students become better prepared for the future and for industry, such as culinary arts, law enforcement, information technology and more. LTC offers a wide variety of specialized courses in Career and Technical Education (CTE), Advanced STEM Studies, dual enrollment courses, honors level and advanced placement (AP) level coursework, cooperative education (Co-op) including job shadowing, internships and apprenticeships. Students from all five area high schools are eligible to attend the Lexington Technology Center campus. Career and Technology Education (CTE) is an integral part of the education process as students apply their knowledge from core classes and learn employable skills that make them more marketable when searching for a job. Seeing students’ successes and achievements over that time and after leaving LTC is very rewarding.
